Dreaming of NYFW

It's been Fashion Week across the globe in New York, London, Milan & Paris and like you I can't help but feel "fomo" that I can't attend even one event! Every year I've planned to attend fashion week even planning down to what I would wear, when I was styling this look I thought of New York Fashion Week.

There is a distinctive difference in the style of a New Yorker from a Londoner. NYC fashionistas love their blacks and super sleek looks, so here I kept it clean and chic wearing a crop top, with black leather tights. Layering this with a faux fur gilet  which is perfect for the NYC climate. There is something about fur that provides a subtle edge of class and luxury. Its just so rich in texture that I feel the term "high fashion" when I wear it.

This look was finished with a classic Givenchy bag I bought for my Mum over a year ago! I love the cheetah print on the bag and I believe we will be seeing them a lot this fall.

My favorite accessories for the summer gone and still for the coming fall are these luxury tattoos from Seekers of Sun. I highly recommend this as a must buy for any fashionistas, its not only stunning but offers so much flexibility on how to accessorise it. For my look I've used tattoos for as a choker! It's a fun filled and creative piece of art which I've deemed fit to turn into jewellery to compliment my look.

Crystal Lips & Pearl Teeth

For this look, I've collaborated with an upcoming jewellery brand that goes by the name Rara de Barr!!! Their gorgeous crystal lips and pearl teeth necklace is definitely a lovely statement necklace, and I am very thankful for this beautiful gift.

I paired this necklace with a ravishing white crop top and bell bottom powder pink pants. Bell bottoms are hot this season and I can't wait to stock my closet with more of them. They make your legs look longer which is always a good thing for anyone whose on the petite side, I would recommend you all to invest in a pair.

I also chose to accessorize with a Tikka I bought a year ago from River Island, I love to fuse combinations of western outfits with an ethnic flavour. Tikkas and bindhis are trending majorly this year, I think this chindhi or tikka is a great way to change up my style and its always good to keep your looks unexpected and fresh, that way you can keep re-creating yourself and fashion.

A Fairytale Engagement

Its been a while since my last post and apologies to all my fellow fashionistas for being so disconnected from you. The truth is I was caught up with the family in the planning of my engagement, it actually turned into a much more prolonged affair with my fiance and his family flying down all the way from the Middle East.

Nevertheless to make up for it I'm thrilled to share with you a very special post, my Engagement OOTD. I designed this outfit myself and after many painstaking weeks of co-coordinating with the tailors sitting in another country, it finally captured the look I was going for...(well mostly). The theme of this outfit is inspired by Sabyasaachi's earthy tones, I styled myself as an Indian princess styled during the Victorian period, I wanted to capture in this outfit the fairy-tale affair of everything that looked and felt around me in that moment.

I accessorized with a tiara to add a subtle regal element to the outfit. I was initially skeptical as tiaras don't always resonate a majestic look, but hey I wanted to feel like a princess for the day! :)
