Grecian Grace

MY OOTD: Saree Anjali Mahtani Couture | Jewellery Devji | Hairband RocknRose | Hair & Make up @makeupbyaishaa

When I style myself in ethnic clothes, I always find inspiration from another culture and try to fuse it in with my ethnic look giving the entire outfit a different take or twist on Indian wear. For this look I have collaborated with Jakarta based designer Anjali Mahtani Couture. She designed envisioning me in it, once I saw it I had instantly fallen in love with the effortless beauty to it. The saree drape reminded me of something I had seen in the movie Troy which inspired me to give an ancient Greek twist to this look.

Jewellery Arabia Bahrain 2016

MIAMOON  JEWELLERS

AMRAPALI

KAMYEN JEWELLERY

TERZIHAN

This was my first Jewellery Arabia show and I had the opportunity to participate as the official blogger for the duration of the event. I had a chance to photograph, pose, talk to and work with some of the most exquisite pieces of luxury items and the talented minds of the people who brought the glamorous pieces to life. For those unaware, Jewellery Arabia Bahrain is a premier exhibition topped only by Basel & Las Vegas on the circuit.

The show is a 5 day event attracting prospective buyers and jewellery lovers from all across the region such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar…etc. The entire venture from the people I met to the pieces I could touch along with countless luxury brands I discovered was a phenomenal experience. Just simply describing the glamour of the show is an understatement to what I truly felt being a part of the event.

Like I wanted for myself and any other new bride, we would like to see diversity in our collection. I believe it is important when buying jewellery you must have knowledge and view of a range pieces to understand what you are looking for. I have shared images of my favorites from Azza Aljuhairis everyday wear, Terzihans party wear to Miamoon, Amrapali & Kamyen's bespoke statement pieces perfect for wedding occasions. Mind you, I am only saying that because I loved their chunky sets but they do have an exquisite collection from everyday ever-green classics.

Slip Dressing into Fall

MY OOTD: Two in One Dress Missguided | Cardigan Missguided | Shoes Public Desire | Bag Calvin Klein | Choker Avra Chic

I couldn't be happier than about the return of the 90s silky slip dress.  A fresh way to revamp our beloved 90s trend and style something that I would perhaps wear in the bedroom to the streets.

For me personally, it has become an essential layering piece worn in a more casual way. Dressing it up for fall with a pair of knee high boots, or layering it with a simple white t and a cardigan.
