Korean sheet masks are the new thing, but don’t forget about your other favorite products!

Yes, my skin has become very dependent on Korean sheet masks, but there is one mask that I have used for several years and I am still obsessed with it:
Origins Clear Improvement Active

It is a charcoal mask to clear pores. I am sure all of us have seen those instagram videos of that charcoal nose strip that claims to remove all blackheads. Now, that I still need to try and study, but this Origins mask definitely works along the same lines.

Whether you have oily, dry, or combination skin- dirt, debris and oil will get stuck in our pores. What this mask does, is it contains kaolin clay and bamboo charcoal that act as magnets to remove all the extra toxins that cleansing wasn’t able to.

How to use:
    •    Use once or twice a week.
    •    After cleansing, on a dry face apply an even layer.
    •    Wait around 15 minutes for it to start drying.
    •    Rinse with room temperature water.

Note: We have read everywhere that before putting a mask, it is important to apply a hot towel to open pores. However, this can have a damaging effect as hot water can cause irritated and very dry skin (we’ve seen what happens to our skins when we take a hot shower). Pores don’t open and close just like that when it is in contact with hot water.. Hot water dries out the skin, which causes the body to enter panic mode, forcing it to produce more oils that can then clog the pores. Heat (like when you are exposed to steam) can help melt away some of the oils and fats that are clogged in your pores, but if you already have dry skin, be careful as this can have an adverse effect.

Where to buy: Sephora

Remember, it is all about finding what is right for your skin!
