In this series of What’s In Your Pouch, we will be looking at the must have items for your skincare and makeup routine. One of the key things we must remember in order to ensure we get that glowy finished look every time is how we prime our face. Especially with this winter season hitting us hard our face can definitely get very dry. Without adding enough moisture to our skin, the harder it gets for the makeup to go on smoothly and create that smooth look.
After putting on moisturizer and sunscreen, an important step in the process is to add a good primer. What a primer does is set up your face for makeup. It does this by reducing appearance of pores, fine lines, redness and creates an overall soft, blurred look to the face. This will then help when you add the different layers on your face to go on easier and stay on longer.
One of my top favorites is the Shiseido Glow Enhancing primer. It is oil free, feels like a cream, and you can notice a big difference when not using it before makeup. It also includes SPF.
Remember: It is all about finding what is right for your skin.
